Olympic National Park Christmas Ornament

Olympic National Park has a special place in my heart, thanks to some fascinating family history! My grandfather once owned property along the shores of Lake Crescent that eventually became part of the national park. It's a story that reminds me of the many families who gave up their land during the creation of Great Smoky Mountains National Park—a history I explored while researching When Stone Wings Fly. This summer, my daughter and I took a mother-daughter road trip to Olympic, and we had a fantastic time exploring its beautiful landscapes and making memories of our own. Between the family connections and our recent adventures, this park means a great deal to me!
