Hi! I'm Karen Barnett, an award-winning novelist, former park ranger, and lifelong national park enthusiast. I'm so glad you've found your way to my little corner of the internet!
My love for America's national parks has inspired much of my life, from my years working as a park ranger at Mount Rainier to writing historical novels set in some of our country's most spectacular landscapes. I love sharing these special places with others, whether through stories, photographs, or memories of adventures along the trail.
Recently, I've discovered another creative outlet—laser cutting! Using beautiful designs licensed from other talented artists, I've begun crafting wooden national park ornaments that celebrate the places so many of us hold dear. Each ornament is made by me, with the hope that it will bring back treasured memories or inspire a future adventure.
Here you'll find my handcrafted ornaments alongside signed copies of my national park novels. You can even pair a novel with its matching park ornament for a thoughtful Christmas gift! Whether you're a longtime reader or a fellow park lover, I hope you'll find something that makes you smile.
Thanks for stopping by, and happy trails!
Karen
